learn to row summer camps

Details:

Rising 6-11 Graders (6th graders must be 12 years old), this is the perfect time to try rowing as these camps are centered around you! Just like you saw in Boys in the Boat, rowing is the ultimate team sport. We will teach you the fundamentals of rowing and about our program. Whether you are looking for a team sport or to stay in shape during your off season, come give rowing a try this summer.  Current CYR athletes will be there helping our new athlete's how to row and we will have awesome alumni helping coach. Why not give this Olympic sport a try?

New for 2025- We are encouraging all athletes in both the Charlotte area and Gaston County to sign up! Charlotte Youth Rowing and Belmont Rowing Center have teamed up and will be running these camps together. What that means for you? We just ask you indicate which program you are interested in when checking out.  We will have coaches and athletes from both programs help run these camps.

This summer we will hold our first camp as middle schoolers only. Middle schoolers can participate in the remaining camps if you cannot make the first dates but we encourage them to come to the first camp so they are surrounded by athletes their age. High schoolers please sign up for the last three camps. If the July 14-18 is the only date you can make please contact teamadmin@charlotteyouthrowing.org

High Schoolers wanting to join CYR for the fall season we highly recommend participating in summer camp.
