Over the past two years especially, CYR has become a nationally recognized team by sending a record number of athletes and boats to nationals. In addition, we’ve had fantastic performances and experiences on the national stage. We aspire to send more and more athletes to nationals, to keep improving with more A and B finals, and even to win a national championship! We even want to take a boys and girls crew to the Henley Royal Regatta down the road. CYR has the potential for everything and so much growth ahead.
We recognize we have athletes that want to set the standard to compete at the highest level in the junior stage, collegiate athletics, and the international stage.
Our High Performance program is striving to be the standard and push the limit. High Performance rowers are subject to all team culture values which include but are not limited to, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, being a good teammate, attendance, athleticism, erg scores, and rowing technique.

At the same time, CYR recognizes that not all rowers will become world champions, and the philosophy behind the program is to help each athlete develop to his or her full/maximum potential, and to develop good rowing skills and team fundamentals.
This includes athletes who just started the sport. To learn more on how you can try rowing visit our summer programs page.
Novice schedule is 3 days a week on the water and 2 days in the erg room
