Be Kind, Row Hard!

Come & see CYR in action! We compete regionally across North and South Carolina, as well as Tennessee.

Fall Season runs from Mid-August to Early November. Fall regattas, otherwise known as Head Racing, consists of 4000- 5000m races. Training in the Fall involves longer distance conditioning, focus on technique & form, and lots of fun.

At CYR rowing can be a 3-4 season sport! Winter condition training moves inside, and runs mid- November to early March. We focus on aerobic training using the rowing ergometer (Concept 2 rowing machine) and strength training using free weights and body resistance. Are you a spring or fall athlete looking for some winter conditioning? Come join us!

In NC, we are able to start getting out on the water towards the end of February! Spring season for rowing is considered "Sprint Season" the races are shorter (1500- 2000m), athletes race across 6 -8 lane courses depending on the regatta. Season runs early March through mid- June.

At CYR we offer a handful of opportunities to get on the water. We have week long skill and specialty training camps, learn to row camps and more. Our Summer camp schedule is released mid- January.
